Stop itching

The skin is a protective barrier that plays an important role in
ensuring the good health of the animal. However, certain harmless
factors, such as a food or hay allergy, can weaken this skin barrier and
cause the nerve endings on the surface of the skin to become irritated,
thus causing an itchy feeling on the skin. To relieve their discomfort,
these animals then tend to scratch, which, in turn, aggravates the
condition of the already weakened skin.
